I think I'll grow my hair out again

As the title reads, I think I'll grow my hair out again. Right now it's just a little longer than in my avatar but still the same shape. What triggered my desire to change it was my first group ride with the LOH (Ladies of Harley) a couple weeks ago. We rode down to Payson and had a delicious dinner at some place down there - it'd be good if I remembered the name but I don't. While we ate, a guy named Jesse played guitar and sang for us - he was good - I liked it loads. Anyway... One of the riders has long blonde hair (like mine used to be for years) and it was pulled back in one giant pony with a bunch of ties about every 2 inches to keep it in place. Honestly, it looked like how they sometimes do horse tails - but better. As I watched her ride, I realized that if I grew out my hair again and put it in a pony I'd look less like a lesbian than I do now (with the short hair and no make-up; my body's a little butch too in my leathers). Nothing against lez' but I just don't want to be mistaken for one and get hit on then have to let the poor gal down by telling her that I'm straight and married. I'd be doing it to save others the embarrassment. See how nice I am?

I think you may have found the missing link to world peace--growing your hair.

Coincidentally, I've been thinking the same thing about my hair (not the lez thing, just the growing out thing.)

You lez. I always liked your long hair, but like your short hair better - it just suits you better. But if you're going to be spending that much time on your Harley, trying not to have 'helmet head', you'd better just grow it out. How's the riding going? Any near-misses? Be safe.

Was it called Daltons?
My husband works with a long blonde pony tail haired lebanese.

I would think that hair length would have MUCH less to do with lezbanim-confusion than being involved in something called "LOH".

But what do I know?

Wouldn't wearing a helmet be more tricky with long hair, even pulled back?

that is so rad you are a biker chick.

from your profile shot you don't look like a lez by sporting the barrett (sp?) so I wouldn't worry about that.

I taught her barretts. I take full credit for that.

I've logged over 1600 miles on it since learning to ride in July of this year. The other day a dork on his cell phone cut me off but I pay close attention and try to always be on defense while riding.

Whether long or short, the helmet hair will always be an issue. For some reason I don't succumb to the standard squash - maybe it's the barretts ;o) I give all credit to CJane for my addiction to barretts - they really save my 'do.
