Health Care Video

There's lots of talk back and forth about government vs. private health care. Both sides give compelling reasons why they are right. Sure, I want everyone to have health care... but HOW is the million dollar question.

See, I think this video shows the other extreme example. And you can bet your bottom dollar that this experience happens in the US too--just for people who can't afford health care.

Look, the system is broken. Our health care system SUCKS and we pay WAY TOO MUCH for it. It frakking pisses me off.

I've lived under socialized health care, and you know what? It was the frakking bomb. I don't think that socialized medicine will work here, and we're certainly NOT getting socialized medicine with the plan that Obama is presenting, but things have got to change, because we're getting the short end of the stick.

And you don't even know what you're missing.

This is beyond ridiculous.

'Socialized medicine sucks' - well there's a generalisation if ever there was one.

This guy's argument is that oh no, in Canada you have to wait a while? Well, yeah. That's no bad thing. Put it this way, if you're having a heart attack, you'd get seen straight away. If you're a dork pretending to have hurt your wrist, you're going to have to wait a bit longer. That's no bad thing. It's priorities.

Enjoyed the cholesterol thing too. I live in the UK, one of those, y'know, socialized countries with Nazi Death Panels. What I do is go to my doctor, get a slip to get a cholesterol test. Then I pop along to the hospital at my convenience. If I get there at 8am, I get seen straight away. If I get there at lunch time, I can have to wait a few hours. Again, that's no bad thing.

I really think America needs to stop fearing the notion of the government helping uninsured people get medical care. It's really a no brainer.
