"Entertainer"

NOTE: What in BLAZES is going ON with spacing on Blogger!?! Grr.
Azucar (wish I knew how to make that little accent mark) posted this about a personality test she and her team at work took a few weeks ago. No wonder we get along so well... we're pretty similar (except she's WAY smarter and uses words I never knew existed) :)
Reminds me of one of my junior high tests. Some 'official' type person came to Yucca Jr. High in Clovis (New Mexico, not CA) and had us answer pages and pages of a questionnaire then disappeared as quickly as she came.
I didn't think much of it until the report came back several weeks later. The actual report might be saved and stuck in a box somewhere, but for now I'll just go with my memory.
It reported that I'd do well in the following fields:
What the?!?
Except for Forest Ranger and Fish Hatchery being similar, that list doesn't make sense. Most of my classmates got lists like these: Fireman, Policeman, Army & EMT; or CEO, Astronaut, Judge & Chemist. But my list? No, MY list had to be completely whacked so that I'd be more confused about my future after the report than when the magical test lady appeared in the first place.
No offense to people in ANY of these categories, but what in tarnation does a Cosmetologist have in common with a Lawyer? Or a Forest Ranger with a Cosmetologist? Or a Lawyer with a Fish Hatchery worker?
Let's break it down...
Forest Ranger - introvert (which I'm not), solitary (for a little while, sure, but not for days on end), camper (I'm not allowed; Motel 6 is as close to camping as I get), main character from Barbara Kingsolver's, Prodigal Summer (she lives in a cabin in a quiet forest and doesn't see people for months; even her necessities gets dropped off without seeing another person)
Cosmetologist - conversationalist (sure love talking to people), artist (yes), doesn't color in the lines (I can, but that's so boring), people person (some think I am), works with hands (I don't use my brain much, prefer touch)
Fish Hatchery - likes fishing (disgusts me; I can't stand the idea of pulling a flailing, innocent fishy out of its habitat then let it gasp for water while it slowly dies... but I DO eat fish, just don't want to catch it), away from the public (do you notice that every Fish Hatchery sign you've seen as you drive along a country road has an "Open to the Public" notice but another sign in place that says, "Closed for the Season"?)
Lawyer - knows the law inside and out (I can remember bits and pieces of something, but not every nook and cranny), obligated by their employer to sometimes defend a criminal contrary to their beliefs because of the law (drunk driver who killed an innocent victim but gets off on a technicality; I couldn't do it), the guy that fought my settlement case for my injured back... he was a Tool (but it's his job to defend his insurance company so they don't have to pay as much)
Here are my results from the quick, online test:
ESFP - "Entertainer". Radiates attractive warmth and optimism. Smooth, witty, charming, clever. Fun to be with. Very generous. 8.5% of the total population.
What do you think? Did they get it right with me?
I kinda like the "8.5% of the total population" part. Makes me feel sorta special, in a good way. Does that put me in the Top 10, somehow?
That was fun... you wanna do it? If so, come back and let me know what you are :)

ESTJ: "Administrator". Much in touch with the external environment. Very responsible. Pillar of strength. 8.7% of total population.

Although I am pretty introverted, I always thought. I remember taking this test in college and I was this exact thing (I remember it, it must be the "administrator" in me....)

Haha, of course the ADMINISTRATOR would remember it from college :)
