wow....that is quite a unique pear! you can't save it forever though, so i think you should eventually eat it.
I would take pictures, admire awhile on the counter, then eat (presuming it is ripe, 'cause unripe pears are just grainy, potatoey ick.)
Take pictures of it, let your mom paint it, and then eat it, letting the juices run down your chin.Nothing like a really good, ripe pear....(slurp).
but put blue cheese on it..that is a cool pear!!
Pictures, of course, and then I'd slowly savor that baby....was it good? Please tell me you ate it...maybe it's the pear of life?

Keep it. Dry like a shrunken head. Keep in in a glass case forever. ps. don't eat painted pears.
